98.7 Kiss and Alabama Power welcome you to the Mr. Juneteenth competition! 98.7 Kiss has always and will continue to pay tribute to our African-American community. Great achievements of African-Americans are woven into the fabric of Alabama and American history. Kiss pays homage to the culture in education, sports, politics, science and business and now it’s our time to help pave the way for our Birmingham / Metro area students by securing their future and higher education!
Now it’s your turn to tell us what Juneteenth means to you. Submit your video or written essay below for an opportunity to win your share of $4,500 in HBCU scholarships as follows:
- Mr. Prince Juneteenth (Ages 8-11) will receive a $1,000 book scholarship
- Mr. Junior Juneteenth (Ages 12-15) will receive a $1,500 book scholarship
- Mr. Juneteenth (Ages 16-18) will receive a $2,000 scholarship to a HBCU
