Moving Birmingham Together: goBHM Hosts Community Meetings Across the Region
Resident input is essential to shaping the future of transportation access, safety, and mobility.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.
— To create a safer, more connected, and more accessible transportation system that better serves neighborhoods, families, workers, and community institutions across the region, the Birmingham Department of Transportation (BDOT) is inviting residents to contribute to the conversation.
In partnership with the Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority (BJCTA), BDOT will host a series of community engagement meetings across the greater Birmingham metro area in February and March 2026, providing the people of Birmingham an opportunity to learn more about goBHM, an ongoing project to develop a comprehensive transportation plan, and provide direct input on transportation access and mobility throughout Birmingham.
The scheduled community engagement meetings include:
Ensley Community
New Birth Missionary Baptist Church
2200 Pike Rd, Birmingham, AL 35208
Sunday, February 22, 2026 | 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM
For the Ensley, Belview Heights, Pratt City, and Ensley Highland communities
Community members, faith leaders, and neighborhood stakeholders are encouraged to attend and participate in an upcoming meeting.
